Join the 2nd Annual All-Women’s Trip to India and Nepal — led by Buddhist monk, Tsering Phuntsok, originally from Nepal. Tsering’s assist as hostesses in Nepal, preparing and serving traditional home-cooked meals family style. Maximum group size is 12 people. (Each participant required to sign a “be nice/don’t complain” waiver!)
Travel dates are depart USA Oct. 17, 2016, and return Oct. 28, 2016. Trip includes all accommodations, in-country travel, most meals and flight from India to Nepal. Participants should be able to walk up to 3 miles a day.

Oct. 17 – Depart for India
Oct. 18 – Arrive in Delhi
Oct. 19 – Early morning walk with Tsering at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast.
Meet in lobby at 10 a.m. for orientation, followed by a 11 sharp departure to the Indian Crafts Museum and our favorite restaurant for a 1:30 lunch.
Afterwards, you are on-your-own for shopping at Connaught Place and for dinner/night bazaar.
Oct. 20 – Taj Mahal — early morning departure
Oct. 21 – Early morning walk with Tsering and meditation in temple. Meet in lobby at 7:30 a.m. Followed by breakfast.
Depart at 11 a.m. for Red Fort/Mother Teresa Home for the Dying/Tibetan Colony
Oct. 22 – fly to Kathmandu — dinner and meeting the family on the hotel rooftop
evening on-your-own exploration of the Boudha Stoupa (World Heritage site)
Oct. 23 – Breakfast on hotel roof at 8:30
Depart at 10 a.m. for mountaintop puja ceremony/prayer flag ceremony at nunnery/national park and Nayarayanthan Temple (dinner at hotel on roof upon return)
Oct. 24 – Breakfast on hotel roof at 8:30
Depart at 10 a.m. for Hindu Pasupati Gatt (World Heritage Hindu temple and cremation site) Return to Boudha Stoupa and have time to explore; followed by dinner at 8 p.m.
Oct. 25 – on their own for exploring and shopping
Oct. 26 – Breakfast on hotel roof at 8:30
Depart at 10 a.m. for Kumari of Patan, followed by lunch at the Nepali Museum and walk to the Singing Bowl Factory and, if time allows, wood handicraft shop
Oct. 27 – time to be announced for Everest flight* (weather permitting; if flight doesn’t go, $250 refund will be processed)
Oct. 28 – fly home
Trip: $3,150 (visa fees not included. You are on your own to secure Indian visa. Not difficult, but requires filling out forms and costs. Nepal visa easily available at airport.)
